Firefox Synchronisation on Windows 7, Mac.

?
I have triple booted my laptop with all the main three basic Operating systems in it.

Snow Leopard 10.6 (MAC)
Backtrack4 R2 (Linux)
Windows 7

I usually shuffle between operating systems and surf the net but there was Firefox common in all of my operating systems, it was very hectic to synchronise all my web surfing generally the Bookmarks. So Ive started using Add-ons on Firefox to keep aal of my bookmarks synchronised but agin those passwords.I've to remember all of them,Thanks to Firefox team who has launched Firefox4 with synchronisatio feature i.e. it can automatically synchronise all data of your web surfing.

Below are the steps in WIndows 7  :

1. Select the Set Up Sync.. feature from the menu

2.You can choose Create a new account or Connect to any previous account.
3.You can enter the details and you would be give a synchronisation key please keep itsomewhere safe as it would be required whenever you eed to add a browser for Synchronistaion.

4. You can select the data you need to synchronise.

5.You can follow the same steps on the browsers you need to synchronise and Firfox would Synchronise all your data quietly without disturbing you.

6.Any further modifications can be done by going to Preferences.

These can be followed on a Mac (Snow Leopard 10.6.x) Machine :

1.Select the Set Up Sync from the Tools Tab

2.Choose between Create a new account or Connect to connect to a previous account.

3.Select the Options you want to Synchroise and selcet the box below it to merge the data between this browser and server or just completely replacing all the data either on server or on the browser.

4.Give your account details and then click on Continue.

5.A new Tab would open to notify you that synchonisation is completed.
